Palo Blanco (associated species such as Handroanthus/Tabebuia)
The golden blossoms of the "yellow stick" illuminate landscapes when the tree decides to bloom, often shedding its leaves to clothe the tree in pure yellow; this burst of color transforms roads and mountains into bands of light. Several species of the Tabebuia/Handroanthus lineage (known by local names such as araguaney or guayacán) are celebrated in tropical American countries, even as regional forest symbols, although they are not always officially listed as the "national flower."
Materials + Care
Handmade with layers of baked liquid glass baths, in an original patented technique, in which it is hand-painted, adding details in 24k gold or 925 silver.
